WESTconsin on Morning Connection - Celebrate Youth Month This April

Why do credit unions celebrate Youth Month?
Every April, credit unions across the country celebrate Youth Month to engage younger credit union members to learn how to save for their future. Led by the Credit Union National Association, this year’s theme is Unleash the Power of Savings to help drive home that empowering your future doesn’t need to start with much. The first small step is usually the hardest, but once it’s taken, you can use momentum to unleash your power to save.
What is WESTconsin Credit Union doing to celebrate?
All month long, we are encouraging youth to come visit one of our convenient 14 locations to open a high yield Youth Savings Account, take home activity books and youth-themed coloring sheets, and enter in a prize drawing giveaway!
Offices are also hosting a Youth Month Book Drive to collect new and gently used children's books to be donated to a variety of local community partners.
