WESTconsin Promotes Russ Blasius to Chief Operations Officer

WESTconsin Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Russ Blasius to Chief Operations Officer (COO). In his new role, Blasius will oversee the credit union’s Retail Operations, Facilities, Member Solution, and WESTconsin Investment Advisors departments.

Blasius has been with WESTconsin since 2009, originally as Office Vice President – New Richmond and most recently as Senior Vice President – Retail Operations. He has worked in the credit union industry for many years, holding various management positions at SharePoint Credit Union. Blasius is looking forward to bringing his unique experiences and insights to the COO position while upholding the great culture WESTconsin has built over the years.

I am humbled and honored to join the amazing group of Corporate Officers and collaborate with them as we continue to strive for operational excellence and exceed the expectations of member experience,” Blasius said. “I am eager to look at our growth opportunities and what the next several years can bring for WESTconsin’s retail operations and the credit union.”

Blasius will replace Jim Wookey, the previous COO who is taking over as Chief Executive Officer later this year.
