WESTconsin Credit Union Wants to Help Your Kids Fulfill Their Big Dreams
Posted:
WESTERN WI—Dreaming big doesn’t mean you need to start with big actions. The first small step is usually the hardest, but once it’s taken, you can use momentum to propel you forward. This year’s theme for National Credit Union Youth Month is “Save Small. Dream Big. at your credit union.” We want to tell young members that their dreams are attainable, no matter how big they are.
WESTconsin Credit Union has tools to help fulfill these dreams. With a youth savings account that earns compound interest, young members can deposit small amounts on a regular basis and watch their savings grow “like magic.” The earlier they start a savings account, the more it will grow! Learning this good financial habit at a young age will set them up on the path of successful financial well-being.
If you have been wondering how to empower your kids to save for their future, National Credit Union Youth Month is a great time to start! During the month of April at WESTconsin, each youth that opens a Membership Savings Account or makes a deposit is eligible to receive giveaways and door prizes. This celebration is a fun time to engage kids at WESTconsin Credit Union and within our community to help them learn that saving, no matter how small the amount, can help them achieve their dreams.
WESTconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939, and membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the Wisconsin counties of Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, and Washburn, or the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Isanti, Pine, Ramsey, Wabasha, and Washington, with a $5 minimum deposit in a Membership Savings Account. Credit unions are financial institutions owned by their accountholders, and member funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to at least $250,000.
