Kindness Counts Volunteer Event at Wisconsin Farmers Union Kamp Kenwood
Posted:
Wisconsin Farmers Union’s Camp, Kamp Kenwood, was dedicated in October of 1951. It was named after the president, Kenneth Hones, whos dream was to have an educational center for rural people. The camp was built with the help of contributions from Farmers Union members, cooperatives and friends. A large amount of Farmers Union members and volunteers constructed the camp. Thousands of youth have gained a better understanding of Farmers Union and cooperatives at camp each summer. The camp carries on the aspirations of its founders as the center of education activities for everyone. The same union that created WESTconsin, created Kamp Kenwood.
